Provisions were made for families to connect on christmas day...unless you are in a care home that is.

Provisions are made to allow non cohabiting couples to connect....unless you live in a care home that is.

Mum along with many others lost their rights when the moved into a care home.

We need to begin to help care homes feel safe to enable visits with correct PPE and IPC. There are too many governing bodies having their say and messages are being mixed which is leading to a postcode lottery.

10months on and mum is getting overall 2.5hr visits a week under the essential visitor guidance...10months of isolation i would like to think that everyone in a care home should be entitled to an essential visit by at least one person.

Sadly we are still fighting for that basic human right that we who live in the community were allowed to experience on Christmas Day , the right to family life.
