But the Canadian government is threatening to break up another family, who need you to sign their petition of support at https://www.change.org/p/justin-trudeau-stop-illegal-extradition-of-abuse-survivor-and-single-mom-mm MM is a Canadian, single mother of three who is fighting extradition to the USA, where she faces years in jail for the "crime" of saving her kids from an abusive father. Prime Minister Trudeau says "it takes tremendous courage and resilience to break free from abuse.... I stand in solidarity with victims, with survivors, and with families and loved ones.” We agree. But MM, who cannot be named because of a publication ban, is one abuse survivor that Trudeau is NOT standing with. Please make your voices heard. Just as you supported the right of Daksh Sood to live in Canada, please support the right of MM to stay in Canada with her Canadian kids. As Supreme Court Justice Rosalie Abella writes, “At the end of the day, there is little demonstrable harm to the integrity of our extradition process in finding it to be unjust or oppressive to extradite the mother of young children she rescued, at their request, from their abusive father.
