July and August are the months for people go for Boshintang (dog meat stew) to fight the heat. It is said about 900,000 to a million dogs are slaughtered for the meat during this period. We will print posters/leaflets/flyers containing a message of health risks of the dog meat and hand them out around the dog meat markets and restaurants. I see some signs of dog meat industry declining and the consumption of the dog meat is definitely dropping in the big cities.
