183 Main Street East - Update

Say NO to Rezoning 183 Main Street East
As you are all aware, the Developer will present a new proposal at the March 22nd council meeting to rezone the property to allow a three storey, 22 unit condo building, not apartments, in behind the heritage home. The proposal is asking for several regulation amendments:
- a reduction in the rear yard setback from 12.2m to 7.5m
- an increase in the height from 11m to 12.2m to permit a pitched roof
It should be noted that this plan has a wide drive running alongside the heritage home to the east to accommodate traffic to/from the condos onto Main Street. There is no plan for a secondary exit so these home owners will have direct access to Main Street and the lot that the heritage home sits on will be further reduced. This will further impact the traffic on Main Street that we already know is problematic.
If you do not agree with this rezoning, you must write to the Town Planner to let him know. A simple email will do the trick. All you need to say is:
Dear Robert Brown,
I am against rezoning 183 Main Street East.
