Hi Friends Old and New,

Many of you will have watched the Panorama programme yesterday which was titled Roman Abramovich – His Dirty Money. You can watch it on BBC IPlayer or catch up TV if you missed it. The programme was the result of a four year investigation into how this well-known oligarch came to be one of the richest men in the world. Proving the words in our petition true, it clearly shows how he scammed, stole, blackmailed and kidnapped his way to a fortune.

Spoiler alert – in one of his earliest deals he bribed a Russian government official with US$10 million in order to buy state assets for US$137 million, which were valued at the time at US$2.2 billion. In a bizarre twist the government even lent him the money to make the acquisition!

TO ADD SALT TO THE WOUND HE SOLD THOSE SAME ASSETS BACK TO RUSSIA MANY YEARS LATER FOR US$13 BILLION THUS DEPRIVING THE RUSSIAN POPULATION – HIS OWN COUNTRYMEN – OF US$13 BILLION PLUS ALL THE CASH HE TOOK OUT IN DIVIDENDS ETC OVER THE YEARS OF HIS OWNERSHIP!

We should have no sympathy for him and the others of his ilk – they are parasites on the world, and on their own country in particular.

Join me in stripping these blood-sucking freeloaders of their wealth and have it directed back to the deserving Ukrainian population in humanitarian aid.
