The Issue
Summary:
The Department of Parks and Recreation wants to eliminate our competitive program at Flushing Meadow Aquatic Center.
Personal story: We have been a presence at the Center since it first opened, training more than 4,500 students there and impacting countless more through our students that went on to become city lifeguards.
The issue: Denying Swim Strong students this service will deprive hundreds of Queens students of the opportunity to learn water safety and strong swimming skills from our dedicated team of instructors.
