We congratulate the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference on publishing the Pastoral Letter, Don't Mess With Marriage and for distributing it through parishes and schools. We are grateful for their leadership on this issue and their informed contribution to the public debate. We support the continued distribution of this Pastoral Letter and call upon all Catholics and Catholic communities to help in this task. The Pastoral Letter is relevant not just for Catholics, but for people of other faiths and people of no faith at all, so spread the word.

This issue is not just about redefining marriage but redefining parenthood. Redefining marriage will change Australian families and society forever, and not for the better.
