- The Jordanian authorities not only maliciously and unjustly detained my dad upon arriving at Amman international airport last Wednesday, 25 July 2018; they have also prevented my mum and the lawyer from seeing him since. - This means it has been 6 days since he was detained, and no family member or lawyer was granted access to see him. This raises very serious concerns as to his health, and raises doubts over potential violations. - My mum visited the Intelligence department on Sunday 29 July 2018 after she was advised to go on that day by the Australian Embassy in Amman, who - after contacting the Jordanian authorities - advised her that she would be able to see him on Sunday, to only then be turned away by the intelligence- under the pretext that he has not been interrogated yet. - The lawyer on the other hand has been denied access to him on 3 occasions, with the latest being today, Tuesday, 31 July 2018. We therefore demand the Jordanian authorities to grant my mum and his lawyer - Mr. Musa Al-Abdallat, full access to our father, immediately. 31/07/2018 Family of Ismail Alwahwah
