The leaders of Grace Methodist Church in Logan Square want to demolish at least the education component on the back of their church building and build a new hybrid structure, part of which would rise five stories in height and include apartments. The church building has held down the prominent corner of Kimball and Wrightwood for more than a century.

The current zoning would only allow two single family homes on the site. They need an up-zoning to build up to 20 new apartments. If they don't receive the up-zoning it won't be possible to construct the building.
