IQAS (International Qualifications Assessment Service) in Alberta was designated by IRCC to as one of the organizations that can process educational assessments for candidates educated outside of Canada.

Unfortunately the service given to international clients is atrocious, unprofessional, shambolic and chaotic. IQAS misrepresents their service on their website by saying a qualification assessment takes up to 15 weeks. This has not been the experience of most clients,some of whom have had to wait for more than 26 weeks ( 6.5 months) to get their qualifications assessed.

Different forums and different groups has the evidence that though the website says 15 weeks,it takes up to 8 weeks ( 2 months) for them to acknowledge a package was received and a further 15 - 16 weeks to process the ECA. On their website it says Acknowledgement of Receipt will be sent after a few weeks. What is a few weeks?

As paying clients who rely on information on their website there should be more transparency about their process. They should publish true and correct information  pertaining to processing times so that clients can make an informed decision of whether or not to use their service.As it stands their website is ambiguous about this issue.It is unfair for customers to pay almost $300 and wait for six months to get any feedback from IQAS.

While IQAS states that "processing times will increase with higher volumes of applications" six months is still an unreasonable time to process an ECA without communicating with the customer about the delays.This is in contravention of Canada's own Consumer Protection Laws both at Federal Level and national level.

Currently customers who sent their documents in September 2018 are yet to receive an Acknowledgement of Receipt. This is despite their website saying "a few weeks" . This type of service reeks of incompetence ,is misleading and deceptive to the customer who thinks their ECA will be available after 15 weeks.

This petition seeks to draw attention to IQAS 's own contradictions and misleading information on their website. The misleading and deceptive conduct by IQAS means that more people use their bad service without any avenue of recourse.Please sign this petition to encourage IQAS to be more transparent and to treat their international customers with dignity. IQAS should be held responsible for this sorry state of affairs as it has had a detrimental effect on client's future.
