As you may be aware, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors is reviewing the proposed redistricting outreach plan and consultant tomorrow, June 29.

Some of what we've asked for is included in the proposed recommendations, such as an independent consultant (Item 20) and leveraging the network built to support a complete census count (a piece of Item 19).

At the same time, the proposed public meeting schedule (also in item 19) is mostly only Tuesdays during the workday with limited variation for other engagement. The plan relies heavily on community groups doing outreach, but, again, has limited time and resources to do that work.
