Today the Board of Supervisors will vote on 2021 redistricting process. We are on agenda item 51 and scheduled at 1PM. We hope it would start at 1PM, but be prepared for the delay. Item info and how to log in is below.
Our key points are:
Start the community education and outreach no later than June 1
Purchase the mapping software in April to allow time for Staff and Community the opportunity to work with it before it's time to draw the maps.
Publish the website and public hearing dates in May to maximize the opportunity for the community to engage.
Hire a consultant to expand the expertise and capacity of County Staff and to ensure objectivity in identifying communities of interest.
