Legalize White Underglow In Alabama

Legalize White Underglow In Alabama
The Issue
Problem
Alabama’s state and city policemen giving unreasonable tickets for WHITE underglow. No specific law or statuate states that underglow, especially WHITE underglow is illegal. Alabama Law states “No red lights may be visible from the front of the vehicle... Any lighted lamp or illuminated device upon a motor vehicle other than head lamps, spot lamps, auxiliary lamps, or flashing front direction signals which projects a beam of light of an intensity greater than 300 candlepower shall be so directed that no part of the beam will strike the level of the roadway on which the vehicle stands at a distance of more than 75 feet from the vehicle.”
Solution
Alabama needs to stop harassing it’s citizens for harmless WHITE underglow lights, or make underglow, or any other type of aftermarket light, laws clearly stated ILLEGAL.
Personal story
I have white underglow. I used my underglow every single night for 7 months straight. Passed cops all the time with them on. Then, one night a city cop pulled me over and gave me a ticket for them. Said that my pure white underglow was illegal and that I could get by with my led switchbacks on my mirrors, which I had been running for over a year at the time. I stopped running my underglow. About two months later, a state trooper pulls me over and tells me “Your lights are illegal.” I honestly had no idea at this point what lights he was talking about. I asked him which lights he was talking about, knowing my white underglow was OFF. He told me that my led switchbacks on my mirrors were illegal. So, it is obvious that alabama state law on aftermarket lighting is not clearly stated and there is some confusion on what is and is not illegal.
