New Airbnb rules from 20 November: we've updated our petition

Thank you to all 378 of you who have signed so far.
Airbnb has announced new House Rules and host contract policies that take effect on 20 November 2026. Under these changes:
• Hosts are limited to seven standard rules plus "reasonable requests," and Airbnb decides what counts as reasonable.
• Rules can't be written anywhere else, including in guest messages or signs in your home.
• Rental agreements are banned except in a few narrow cases, such as monthly stays.
• Hosts can't keep copies of guest ID, even where insurers, safety or police reasons call for it.
These changes take control of our homes further out of our hands, on top of the refund, review, fee and support problems this petition already raises.
We've updated the petition to ask Airbnb to pause these changes and consult hosts before they take effect.
We have less than a month. Here's how you can help:
1) Share this petition with every host you know, including local host Facebook groups and co-host networks.
2) Ask your property manager or co-host to sign and share and send it to all their clients to sign as well.
3) If your insurer requires guest agreements or ID records, comment and tell us. Real examples make our case much stronger.
Our next goal is 500 signatures before 20 November. Every share counts.
Thank you for standing up for hosts.
