Petition grows stronger with the "Montreal Convention" backing it. Thanks for the support!

Thank you so much for the support. All of you are really amazing to have signed the petition where most people would not bother at all or just shy away from it.

For the benefit of the plane crash victims, on further research the petition has been redesigned in accordance with the Montreal Convention which India entered into in June 2009. Under the Convention which provides rules for the compensation of victims of air disasters, air carriers are strictly liable for proven damages up to 128,821.00 special drawing rights (SDR) in the case of bodily injury or death, regardless of whether the cause of the accident was negligence on behalf of the air carrier or not. Currently, 128,821.00 SDR are equal to Rs. 1 Crore and 37 Lacs roughly. Therefore, the demands under the petitions have been significantly increased.
