Dear Petition Signers and Supporters,
Thank you for signing our petition to reinstate Ambassador Arikana Chihombori-Quao to her position as the African Union Permanent Ambassador to the United States. Ambassador Quao was charged to unite the African Diaspora (people of African Descent living outside of the African Continent) when she took office in December 2017. Her success with this assignment is evidenced in this petition that has grown into a movement for justice and peace around the world.
The African Diaspora needs Ambassador Quao’s courageous, bold, and honest leadership now more than ever. Please continue to spread this petition worldwide. Any contacts to the Congressional Black Caucus and organizations that will stand for justice are greatly appreciated.
All are invited to please share this petition with organization members and to write letters of support on their organization’s letterhead. Also, let us know if you would like to have your African Diaspora Organization listed on the petition as a supporter.
Please join us at the African Diaspora Conference in Dallas, TX, on November 8th – 9th, 2019 at the Irving Convention Center to hear from Ambassador Quao and dynamic leaders throughout the African Diaspora. For more information visit here.
Thank you again for your support and for keeping this movement going strong to reach one million supporters worldwide. In the spirit of Ubuntu (meaning; humanity – use; I am because we are) this movement is a model for justice that impacts all humankind.
Prof. Apollos Nwauwa
Secretary, African Diaspora Congress
