Our legislation, the Afghan Allies Protection Act (H.R. 2976) was included in Sections 1215 and 1219 of the NDAA Conference Report. This means that there are 4,000 newly authorized additional Afghan Special Immigrant Visas and the State Department Inspector General must submit a report to Congress identifying the barriers to the effective protection of Afghan and Iraqi allies abroad.
