Just a quick update to say that I have heard that the possibility of an 8,000 or thereabouts Arena at Edinburgh Park (The Gyle) is being looked into. I wouldn't get hopes up too much just yet as would only get the go ahead if financially sound, the effect of arenas on grassroots venues would also need to be considered.

Sadly, the proposed Edinburgh International Arena near Straiton (artist impression attached) appears to be dead in the water. Their website and socials have closed down over the last few months which leads me to think it ain't happening. 

Edinburgh Park appears to be the last hope, fingers crossed!
