We are thrilled and grateful to have your support in advocating for the installation of Pickleball courts in Oak Ridges.

As active residents and enthusiastic pickleball players, my neighbours and I have been driving to Aurora, Richmond Green, Newmarket, Mount Albert, Etobicoke, and beyond to engage in this wonderful sport.

Pickleball is rapidly becoming the fastest-growing sport in North America, and it's easy to see why. It’s accessible, fun, and challenging, offering an excellent way for families, teens, and adults of all ages to stay active. Beyond just physical benefits, Pickleball promotes longevity, connections, and improved mental health.

Oak Ridges has spaces for recreational activities, including some dilapidated tennis courts, but it lacks designated pickleball courts. This gap forces our community members to commute to distant places and use courts in other towns or neighbourhoods.

Given the sport's rising popularity, we believe that converting existing spaces or creating new Pickleball courts in Oak Ridges will significantly benefit residents of all ages. This initiative will foster a healthy and active community, allowing our town to remain at the forefront of supporting its residents in pursuing vibrant and thriving activities.

By advocating for Pickleball in Oak Ridges, we are not just pushing for new sporting facilities but also promoting our community's physical, mental, and communal well-being. The positive change will ensure our town remains an active and connected place.
