We have reached 1,500+ signatures! Let's keep it going!

The Bee City petition has reached just over 1,500 signatures! This is an amazing number of people supporting this initiative. We need to leverage this momentum! If everyone who signed this petition can get 2 new residents of the City of Los Angeles to sign we could potentially reach 4,500 signatures by the end of August!
I will be happy to send you a PDF of the flyer you can print and share, just send me a note at IG @ave20nativeplants to request one. Here are some ideas of where you can post flyers: coffee shops, universities, colleges, community centers, senior centers, plant nurseries, grocery stores, recreation centers, public libraries, music stores, health care centers, dentist offices, gyms, local pubs... You would be amazed at how easy posting a flyer makes getting those additional signatures!
In her book, “Braiding Sweetgrass,” Robin Wall Kimmerer, writes, “…it is not enough to weep for our lost landscapes; we have to put our hands in the earth to make ourselves whole again. Even a wounded world is feeding us. Even a wounded world holds us, giving us moments of wonder and joy. I choose joy over despair. Not because I have my head in the sand, but because joy is what the earth gives me daily and I must return the gift.” Signing this petition is a small way that we can help return the innumerable gifts that nature gives us every day. Please join me in helping Los Angeles become a Bee City!
