Thank you to all who signed this petition but our grant request under the American Relief Act funds, for qualified expenditures due to the epidemic, was denied today by the Kane County Board. We are deeply appreciative to those who voted for the request and those who signed or spoke before the Kane County Board. We are thankful especially to FVPO Board President Austin Dempsey, Batavia Mayor Jeff Schielke, Batavia VFW Post Commander Steve Hunter and Medal of Honor Recipient Allan J Lynch who so eloquently voiced their support.

We fell short by a vote of 8 to 11 but will continue to hold our heads high and raise our Flag. Please come and visit the Flag Day Monument in an open, inviting space to reflect and learn about what truly unites us.
