The Issue
Ban confessed, witnessed, wife-killing, CT millionaire, and insanity defense aquittee David Messenger from means of serving as our human rights advocate! Persons with psychiatric disabilities and our allies also object to the sanist insanity defense whereby the government denies due process to the wrongly accused, allows the elite to get away with murder, and profiles our persecuted minority group!
There is more evidence against confessed killer and recently released insanity defense aquittee David Messenger than there was against George Zimmerman, the man who gunned down young black teen Trayvon Martin in his own neighborhood.
The Messengers’ then 5 year old son watched as Heather Messenger, (who after going through in-vitro was pregnant with one more child than desired by her killer) was brutally beat to death. Heather in an argument asked her husband to leave, then she locked herself with their child in the bedroom and tried to call 911, though she did not survive her death was recorded.
But despite the evidence and confession, David Messenger is worth millions (this in part includes being beneficiary of a wrongful death settlement over beating Heather to death) and was able to later secure a position as Treasurer of Advocacy Unlimited (now reportedly on a voluntary leave of absence). David Messenger worked in the biomedical industry, the Chaplin CT couple already had neighborhood friends from Connecticut Valley Hospital… according to press a former worker at CVH at a party even recalls Mr. Messenger asking just two weeks before killing Heather, about the accommodations for the forensic acquitted at CVH. Messenger’s own insanity defense plea would place him specifically there after killing Heather Messenger.
The fact that he profited from her death means nothing in a saneist Connecticut where murder is explained away eugenically in a manner of which even Hitler (who’s T-4 program gassed thousands with mental disabilities in institutional showers as a trial run of criminalizing and mass murdering a minority) would likely approve. Instead of trying individuals for crime, our entire minority group suffers for them deprived en masse of liberty by the state, meanwhile confessed killers such as David Messenger get early release from the state: this is the alleged ‘progressiveness’ of our state.
Enough is enough. Though disenfranchised and declared ‘invisible’ we ex-hospital patients are not indeed voiceless. We object to the state’s excuse of murder and acceptance of confessed killers/terrorists in advocate treasury positions over the disabled. This was equivalent to allowing Saddam Hussein or Osama Bin Laden to head the treasury of a human rights advocacy organization to decriminalize innocent Islamists and Muslims!
We object to the profiling by media selling segregate forced treatment of innocent people by our minority status. We object to lack of transparency at advocacy organizations like AU where to confirm rumors, and confirm third party company profile names, only the highest employees of AU are authorized to tell who their board members are/have been, where vulnerable peer advocates are even run through trainings without having been informed that there is a killer lurking in rank above them. We invite the likewise outraged to join us. We urge any doubters to call for an independent investigation concerning David Messenger having served at Advocacy Unlimited and urgently call for the repeal of saneism’s segregate ‘insanity’ plea which excuses violent acts to better profile innocents.

The author of this petition is not a state-trained advocate. I am a Madpride activist, have been a consumer of psychiatric services since childhood, and also as a survivor of brain-cyst and removed brain tissue I have never been someone with a ‘normal’ brain period. To protest the insanity defense and the profiling of persons with mental disabilities in CT as if mass murderers… I’d chained myself at the Middletown Superior Courthouse until dark last April.
Then I was approached by multiple persons rumoring that David Messenger was on the board of AU. I called AU and found that no employee below Karen Kangas was allowed to confirm or deny, Kangas confirmed via phone that this is the same Messenger, and not someone with the same name.
Saddened by the betrayal of CT consumers/survivors I decided to petition this year’s National Association for Rights Protection and Advocacy conference in Hartford, so that more professional advocates in the state who object to Messenger’s presence can best be accessed to sign. I’m not certain I can pay admission once there but am also placing my petition online at change.org for anyone who missed the conference. I have refused to deal with the AU matter privately because my whole minority has already suffered for the private actions of a few elite of far too much privilege.
