We still need more signatures though! Your support and sharing is vital to allow us to present Advance Auto with proof their employees feel unsafe and are tired of not being protected the way the company publicly claims they are.
As coronavirus cases continue to escalate, and deaths rise, nothing has changed within Advance Auto’s business structure. They continue to mess with employee’s paid leave time, continue messing up paychecks, intimidating workers by threatening to deny unemployment benefits, etc. We cannot let this happen.
I’ve seen multiple comments on social media that Advance Auto is essential to keep people’s cars maintained— except people who really need their cars fixed are about 5% or less of actual business being conducted, most transactions are frivolous car wash and air freshener and Advance Auto has not gone to curbside pickup only. If they really deem themselves essential they could stay open but do curbside pickup only. They don’t do this because they think it will cut their bottom line, which is their only concern; if customers truly needed parts they would utilize curbside pickup if the parts were so urgent. It’s just another spin on what is glaringly obvious: this business is not essential to sustaining life and parts could easily be purchased online and picked up curbside if they were.
