A Novel Interpretation Of The Law That Is NOT Common Place.

Thank YOU to everyone that has already signed this petition which exists to help Oscar by creating a vehement awareness to the unfair treatment and malicious practice we have seen and heard in this week and certainly during the trial and to deliver these matters to the Minister of Justice and the Parole Board as swiftly as possible. It is common sense that the date in question is when a prisoner may be released, NOT when a parole board happens to meet. The minister's interpretation is not reasonable. The question been asked "Is there a political agenda invovled in his decision and if there is why? Why would a Government Minister, a politician interfere with the administration process of justice especially at such a late stage? The Parole Board met in June. Oscar did not apply for parole the Parole Board decided to do this themselves and Oscar is most definitely NOT the first person to be given Correctional Supervision. Oscar was granted release with correctional supervision in accordance with their rules dated from June 5th, 2015. It beggars belief that The Office for the Minister of Justice knew of the decision on the 8th June, why has it taken this long for their office to decide to suspend Oscar's release? Oscar will have been prepared by completing a 10 week programme in preparation for his release. It seems to be extremely cruel that he is being prepared for release only to have it refused at the last minute. Much like moving the goal posts with unjustified excuses. In this "Womens Month" of August there are to be approximately 3,000 prisoners released on parole. And of this number how many were convicted for murder, rape and culpable homicide? Why pick only on only Oscar? We are serious about this petition and we need your help to encourage other like minded supporters and sympathisers to sign this petition as extremely urgent.
