When SeaQuest interactive aquarium opened in late December of 2016, most residents of Nevada did not hear about the disturbing background involving animal neglect and suspicious "death lists" at other aquariums across the U.S. owned by the same company and CEO, Vince Covino .
Now after numerous accusations and first hand witnesses by former employees and massive local media coverage we the residents of Nevada and animal lovers across the world, are very disturbed to find out that our tax money is being used to support SeaQuest by sending children that are enrolled in Zoom elementary schools in Clark County to visit the aquarium on an educational trip.
We are urging the Clark County School District to not support the SeaQuest interactive aquarium by sending children there at the expense of our tax money, until a full disclosure is released of the exact number of animals and the cause of their death by the aquarium management. SeaQuest management refused to do so when asked by the media in the past, but we demand to know if our tax money is supporting a place that is killing animals due to neglect.
There are many other forms of education that do not involve the use of animals, especially not in a place that has been under suspicion for animal neglect and deaths.
We demand that our tax money not support animals being neglected and ultimately dying for profit!
