We are thrilled to share that, thanks to the persistent efforts of our neighborhood, the City of Fremont, and supportive officials, the encampment at 4167 Thornton Avenue has been cleared and secured. A fence cover has been installed, and the site is now vacated, addressing the public safety, health, and property concerns we raised.

Special thanks to Mayor Raj Salwan and Councilmember Kathy Kimberlin for their leadership and responsiveness throughout this process. We also want to extend our gratitude to Kenneth Harrison and the entire Code Enforcement team, as well as the Fremont Police Department, for their dedication to resolving this matter within legal and practical limits.

This victory reflects what a committed community can achieve when working together with local government. While this is an important step, we remain engaged to ensure sustained action and ongoing safety in our neighborhood.

Thank you to everyone who signed the petition, shared your voices, and stayed involved. Your support made a real difference.

Together, we are building a safer, healthier Fremont.
