After numerous phone calls to many politicians I received a call back from Assemblyman Dave McDonough. He assured me that going forward there will be two crossing guards at the intersection of Camp Avenue and Merrick Avenue. When a 2nd crossing guard is not available a police office will be assigned. 

My question to you is - Is this enough??? In speaking with some supporters they think we may need a "No turn on red when pedestrians are present". Another option may be to have the light turn red on all 4 sides for a period of time to let everyone cross safely. This would only happen after school during that high traffic time. I was told that this is done by West Hempstead high school. Email me and let me know your thoughts. kkilgan875@aol.com 

Also, if there is a time when there is not a second crossing guard please call me, the first precinct or Assemblyman Dave McDonough.
