Dear friends,

First of all, thank you from the heart to everyone who signed, shared, and supported this initiative. We’ve already reached over 5,000 signatures thanks to your care and encouragement.

After further research and reflection, we’ve decided to make a small adjustment to our request:

Instead of asking for the Druze flag to be added as an emoji, we are now requesting a symbol that represents the Druze faith, such as a five-colored star — and here’s why:

Unicode does not approve religious or sectarian flags — only national or officially recognized organizational flags.
However, they do approve religious and cultural symbols, like the ✝️ Christian cross, ☪️ Islamic crescent, and ✡️ Jewish Star of David.
So, requesting a Druze symbol gives us a much higher chance of success while preserving the spirit of our campaign.

Our goal remains the same:

To gain respectful and meaningful representation for the Druze community among global emoji symbols.
