Hello everyone! Thank you all so much for your support in this matter. What started as an idea turned into discussions with neighbors and community members, and ended up at Chardon City Hall.

I'm writing this to update everyone as I've gotten some questions recently as to the progress of this system in Chardon's crosswalks. 

After I was able to attend a city hall meeting in October '24, Chardon City Hall took the matter to the Safety Committee meeting. I finally received a letter in January or February of this year stating that the Chardon safety committee discussed the issue and decided it would NOT be a fit for the city of Chardon, but to rest assured that the city of Chardon has the utmost concern for safety of school children of Chardon and all of its pedestrians.

I will consider this the end of this matter, as I'm not really sure where to go from here, though I'm always open to discussions and open to other ideas. With everyone I spoke to personally, I often said that I'd like to go about it the right way, ask for permission, and put the onus on the city to grant me permission to implement something that might help our kids and pedestrians be safer and more visible in our crosswalks, and they ultimately shot it down.
