Let’s go Florida!  

HB 287 and SB 294 to include AAI history in our k-12 curriculum have been filed again.  It’s been a long year of regrouping.  MUVFL volunteers have been working since last year's 2022 legislative session to build relationships with new lawmakers and build our community outreach.

We are a small step closer to seeing AAPI history included in our k-12 curriculum.  We still have a long way to go and need your help.  Would you consider volunteering with MUVFL to help us meet more people in your community, talk to legislators or help with content creation?

If you don't have capacity to volunteer, please email or call your legislators and let them know why AAPI history is important to you!  Check out our tool kit for guidance.

We are grateful to Representative Susan Plasencia and Senator Ana Maria Rodriguez for sponsoring our bills! We will have a bipartisan supported bill again this year and we are excited for our cosponsors to start showing up on our bill.

As I mentioned, it's been a long journey.  I am grateful to all of you who have been sharing this petition and keeping the conversation going.  Thank also to our wonderful volunteers who have dedicated time and effort into getting us this far.
