I’ve been slacking in my updates over the summer. We have been keeping busy! The MUVFL team has been behind the scenes working towards AAPI history inclusion and we are hopeful for 2023.
We need AAPI history in our schools now more than ever. Anti-Asian hate crimes are still on the rise and the safety of our community is paramount.
After several conversations with legislators over the past several months, we feel encouraged about the 2023 session. In order to see this through however, the voice of the people must be heard. Please continue to share this petition.

We must communicate to legislators for the new bill to make the agenda and move through the committees in 2023.
2023 may seem like a long way off, but time flies and we have a lot of work to do.

This journey has been challenging and a lot of work, but the results have been rewarding. Seeing the support from community members across the state have been inspiring. Back when we were canvassing for the 2022 bill we were thrilled to hear how many people received our emails multiple times from different people.
Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word and who made calls in favor of AAPI history inclusion. We will need you again next year, but in the meantime we can certainly use more supporters to help connect us with AAPI businesses, organizations and associations.
