Happy Asian American Native Hawaiian Desi and Pacific Islander Month!

I'm learning every day.  Growing up I knew I was Chinese-American.  My parents still used the word 'Oriental' to describe Asians and I didn't know that Asian Americans was inclusive of so many countries.  Fast forward to 2022 where I still don't know the number of countries in Asia off the top of my head.  

Isn't it refreshing that we all have so much to learn?  I am grateful for every opportunity to learn about a new culture outside of my own.  During AAPI Heritage Month I hope you take that opportunity to learn too.

My advice is to listen and learn during AAPI Heritage Month.  There are so many ways you can absorb information:

Have a conversation!  Read a book! Listen to a podcast!

Watch a movie! I'm going to shamefully plug my film award winning film: Pui Chan: Kung Fu Pioneer, an inspiring immigrant story that portrays the theme of the American Dream.
