Today I was finally succesful in establishing phone contact with an officer of the Agility Dog Club of Victoria. I received the impression he did not wish to speak to me, I was told "you have done your dash" before he promptly hung up.

I reported an issue as advised which has never been addressed. I am not the person who is responsible for sexual harrassment and then ongoing bullying when I resigned from the Committee and asked to be treated with respect. As I understand that person is still associated with the Club while I still can't train.

This now follows a 13 year exclusion from the sport which is totally unjust. If someone treats you badly you should be permitted to lodge a complaint and you should be heard.

To lodge a complaint against sexual harrassment takes significant gumption. I was told to have faith in people and that people would help. They never did. The committee spoke to one party only and, rather than takiing steps to resolve, seemed to ignore the issue.

This issue has never gone away for me. I still can't happily train my dog which was the only thing I have ever requested. To be able to happily participate in a sport should be any woman's right.

It is devastating to think my concerns have been dismissed and have never been seriously addressed. I will keep on speaking out until someone decides to goddamn listen.  All I want is to be able to happily train my dog and be treated with some measure of respect which should be able to be achieved.
