Thank you for being a part of this petition.
It might have been a few years since you first signed but we are still pushing to build a suicide-proof fence at the Skillion.
The signature that you and nearly 4000 others have left here have been vital to our cause, and today we’re reaching out with a heartfelt request.
As we continue to push for action, we are hoping to gather some personal stories from those who have been directly impacted. Especially anyone who has lost a loved one at the Skillion. These stories create a powerful testament that we’d like to present to the council and local government members, helping them to understand the real urgency behind this issue.
If you or someone you know has been affected and you’re willing to share your experience, we would be truly grateful. Personal statements, whether named or anonymous can make a profound difference. If you're open to contributing, please contact myself - Rhys Jones, rhysjones2146@gmail.com or Dr Myfanwy Webb myfanwy@myfanwywebb.com.
Update: For the past couple years, we have been going back and forth with various members of government, council, and non-government organisations to get some real backing and action. Unfortunately, while everyone signals their appreciation for this cause, there is little to no outcome so far.
This is why we call upon those who have something to say about the Skillion. With some strong statements or stories, we’re hoping the council will realise how crucial this is for us coasties.
Thank you once again for your support. Together, we can help make the Skillion a safer place for everyone.
Warm regards,
Rhys
