Petition updateACTON-BOXBOROUGH REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL SHOULD ADOPT PASS-NO PASS GRADING FOR SPRING 2020

Superintendent Will Be Granted Sole Power To Change the Grading Policy

This Thursday, at the upcoming School Committee meeting, the committee is set to give the superintendent alone the power to make the decision about changing the grading policy for this semester.   The superintendent, principal, and school committee should be getting regular updates on this petition, and the more signatures we have, the better.    The committee is being asked by the policy subcommittee to suspend its policy requiring a cooperative study which would include parents, teachers, and other staff, before making a change to the district's grading policy.  This would give temporary power to the superintendent to make changes on his own immediately. (The motion says the decision will be given to the superintendent and high school principal, but really the superintendent will have the real authority.) You can see the meeting on zoom, at 7PM on Thursday: https://abschools.zoom.us/j/92570711247

CONTACT THE SUPERINTENDENT BY EMAIL! SHARE THE NEWS AND ASK YOUR FRIENDS TO SIGN THIS!

So, if you're really concerned about this, you should now contact Superintendent Peter Light directly, to tell him why you want a pass-no pass policy.  His email address is plight@abschools.org.  And continue to promote this petition as well!  We need as many to sign as possible.
