A petition for Activision to change the paid DLC model for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4

The Issue

Ever since Black Ops 4's special editions were announced, the Call of Duty community has been exploding and social media sites have been buzzing with the news that once again we're gonna have a paid DLC model for Black Ops 4, and recently we've had the hashtag #SayNOtoBlackOpsPass trending on Twitter.

The problem here isn't the word "paid" but it's that once again, Activision plans on locking Multiplayer maps behind a paywall, and that can split the player base between the people who own the "Black Ops Pass" and the people who don't. This issue has been happening in the Call of Duty franchise for years, but now in 2018 it's even more of a problem because the entire gaming industry seems to be moving away from that old and anti-consumer DLC model, even EA (Activision's biggest competition) announced that their next Battlefield release (Battlefield V) will have no paid DLC and no lootboxes, but Activision seems to want to stay in the past.

Another problem this DLC model faces is that the DLC maps become literally unplayable after a couple of months because there won't be a lot of people online who have purchased the maps, so you get put in lobbies with people who don't own the DLC and it's almost like you spent 10's of dollars for nothing.

It's also good to point out that the "Black Ops Pass" gives the player less content than before with only 12 MP maps post-launch when in previous years we've had 16 maps post-launch.

What we want from Activision is for them to finally adapt to the gaming industry and stop locking Multiplayer maps behind a paywall and give them all for free and that's why I ask everyone in the Call of Duty community and the gaming community as a whole to stand up against Activision and their DLC model and sign this petition so we can get our voices heard and change the gaming industry forever.
