Tenants Continue to Defy No-Smoking Policy; More Signatures Needed!

Hi friends! Thanks to all who have signed the petition thus far. Your support is very much appreciated, as second-hand smoke can have detrimental effects on everyone's health (you could develop asthma, COPD, and even lung cancer as a result of exposure to secondhand smoke.) Unfortunately, despite recent attempts at trying to combat the issue of smoking, many tenants and landlords of several Burnaby apartment buildings (South Burnaby, predominantly) say their buildings no-smoking policies continue to be defied.

If you've already signed the petition, great! If you haven't, please pass it on to other tenants wherever you live who you think might be willing to do so. The more signatures we have, the easier it will be for us to present this petition to management companies so that they stop taking such a lax stand on this issue. We have heard from many a tenant who say they are disappointed with their building managment's poor handling of the smoking issue, and as tenants we ALL deserve better. Our health and lives are being put at risk.
