To the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory:

This petition of certain residents of the Australian Capital Territory draws to the attention of the Assembly the fact that the Murrumbidgee Country Club is wanting to sell sections of its current lease as a medium-density housing development. To do so, it needs to change the conditions of its concessional lease with the ACT government, which currently reserves the land for community and recreational use. This variation to the lease is not of social or economic benefit to the community, only a select few.

Your petitioners therefore request the Assembly to withdraw this proposal.
