In an amazing turnaround, the Government Petition I applied for a month ago (and thought had been ignored) has now been approved. 

The wording is nearly identical to the change.org petition yet requests The Minister to 'discuss' an end to the ABC/ACON alliance with the ABC Board. This is because as an independent body, no-one, not even a Minister, can tell the Board what to do. They can however, 'discuss' issues.
