From January 8, 2007 –November 9, 2009, ABC Family Lincoln Heights has been and will always be a family drama TV show. This show bought families together once a week and had very powerful themes that families can have conversations about. The show mad you laugh, cry, passionate about you community and how to rebuild it and the main focus was about family. Not only that, Lincoln Heights was the only African American family drama that was on this network.

The reason that I'm starting this petition is the fact that after this show was cancelled after four season with great ratings (due to lack promoting the show) because fans have been waiting for the rest of the Lincoln Heights series (2-4) to be released on DVD. Season 1 was released on DVD  February 16, 2010 (with lack promotion of its release) and a representative from the ABC Family Network stated that they will not go forward with plans to have season 2-4 on DVD due to low sell (again....lack of promoting the show).

If you compared Lincoln Heights to other shows on its network, it has been put on the back burner. Not only that, we haven’t seen a African American family drama series on ABC Family since the network cancelled Lincoln Heights in 2009. Not only that, but Lincoln Heights was robbed of its 5th season with a cliffhanger at the end of season 4. But it’s okay for other shows to have a 5th season.   

All I’m asking is that we want the rest of season 2-4 of Lincoln Heights on DVD like you have your other non-minority show have on DVD. At least give the Lincoln Heights fans that much for all the times we tuned in.
