Deep Sea Mining. Sounds crazy. But extraction permits are on the verge of being issued. Intergenerational equity in mining requires Zero Loss in value, saving the entire proceeds in a Future Generations Fund, and paying out the real income as a Commons Dividend. We also demand separate accounts for our minerals following the IPSASB standards. Since our understanding of the deep sea is nascent, losses are inevitable. We demand a moratorium on deep sea mining.
