Minister Susan Ley has completely ignored the Aboriginal voices calling for a respectful reburial of Mungo Man and Mungo Lady and has approved the original government plan for unmarked "secret" reburial of these iconic remains. In her decision, she has failed to respond to the 50+ indigenous voices who have signed this "three-phase plan" and the 18 000 individuals of the wider community who supported them. 

This appalling decision has caused heartache to so many in the community. Please join us in decrying this poor example of political expediency. 

We are exploring options as to what can be done to prevent this travesty occurring.
