Thanks again to everyone who signed the petition to retire Bobby Staak's high school basketball jersey number.  To date, 376 signatures have been gathered along with some very nice comments.  Judging from the comments, if any Darien High School jersey number deserves to be retired it is the one worn by Bobby Staak.  Many of you went to school with Bob and remember his games.  Many of you still live in town and understand what it would mean to the community to honor him.  Many of you have moved away, but thought enough of Bob to sign the petition and leave a comment.  Thank you again for your support.  

The signatures and comments have been forwarded to the Darien High School administration and members of the Board of Education.  An update will be posted again when a decision has been made. 

What a night it would be to witness the ceremony retiring his number!
