Petition updateA Public Plea to Charles River Laboratories CEO Birgit Girshick to End Canine TestingURGENT ACTION REQUESTED

We have a real opportunity RIGHT NOW and I need your help this week.
Charles River Laboratories holds a Massachusetts state license from the DPH Bureau of Climate and Environmental Health — License MA-67 — to use dogs at 55 Union Street in Worcester. That license expires June 26. The Massachusetts Commissioner of Public Health, Dr. Robbie Goldstein, has the legal authority to refuse to renew it on public interest grounds.
I have filed a formal complaint with the Commissioner documenting how Charles River has been systematically violating the Massachusetts Beagle Bill by reusing dogs for multiple experiments until they are too sick to be adopted, thus circumventing the adoption requirements for healthy dogs. You can reference that complaint in your call.
The world is moving rapidly towards ending canine testing entirely. Ontario just banned canine testing. The US military ended it. The EPA is phasing it out. Massachusetts has a chance to act right now.
Please make two calls this week:
