On this day we remember that two people lost their lives in a totally avoidable road crash on the Hume Freeway near Mittagong NSW. For us, it was our beautiful daughter Sarah. Over the past six years we have fought for the rights of those who are vulnerable towies, roadside assistance, road workers, traffic management, line markers, police and emergency services and of course those involved in an incident, a crash or a breakdown. I am heartbroken for the loss of my beautiful daughter... I always will be. But I am also proud that on 2 March this year that legislation introduced by the WA Government will come into force. It will require that drivers slow down to 40 kph when passing those who are vulnerable, including towies and roadside assistance. This is a first for Australia and will become the precedent for change across all jurisdictions. Honour those who lost their lives that day by slowing down and committing to "Drive So Others Survive!"
