This is a flag that I designed to be a possible alternative to the current flag.

The blue and yellow are the official colors of the state of Kansas icon. The yellow stripe represents wheat fields, and the blue area represents the blue skies that 'are not cloudy all day.' The sunflower has 34 points to represent Kansas being the 34th state admitted. This design has been created to represent all people who live in Kansas and to be unique and long-lasting. The placement of the sunflower also symbolizes the flag of the United States. 

I am open to feedback or other proposed designs for the state of Kansas.
