A Motorcycle rider dies every 3 years at Barbagallo Raceway. Stop preventable deaths.

I started this petition to activate politically as I've exhausted every other avenue. The State Coroner's Legal Counsel initially told me an inquest would be held to investigate the safety management of the circuit. Early this year almost four years after my initial report they changed their mind. It was a low act towards a bereaved father and family. It took me months to get over it. I spent considerable time and money gathering information at the request of the Coroners Legal Counsel. I even travelled to Sydney to meet with Mr Wayne Gardner 1987 World 500cc Champion ... and I paid for his breakfast and he likes a good feed! He agreed to be the expert witness at the inquest. I've been lobbying constantly. I met with my local member fellow Civil Engineer Minister Bill Marmion, whom I know as I worked with him years ago. I met with Minister Terry Waldron, numerous times with the management of the Barbagallo Circuit, the Department of Sport and Recreation and many times with Motorcycling Western Australia. Apart from raising awareness no progress has been made to get someone to take responsibility. It's a simple problem to fix and won't cost a huge amount of money. Employers should take note as many of your motorcycling enthusiast track day rider and racer staff are at risk. If any employer is willing to make a donation to a "Barbagallo Safety Improvement Fund" please raise you hand.
