Over 115,100 Costner fans on social media are asking him to consider a holiday style film. He said yes! Fans have launched a Change.org petition to urge Kevin Costner to consider doing the one movie genre in which he has not accomplished – A holiday themed movie. “Extra” Special Correspondent Alecia Davis got the scoop.
With the holidays are fast approaching, could we ever see Costner in a Christmas movie? He said, “If I do one, I want it to be classic… That’s a difficult one to come upon… Someone is gonna have to write something that elevates itself, and if it does, I’ll do it.” Stated Kevin Costner during the interview.
The petition is a loving request from his fans to fill that special season of the year which Costner currently has left open. Fans have realized that there are no films starring their beloved actor during what has now become its own genre, holiday film season. "We are not looking for a 'hallmark' style movie at all," states Kay Oliver, Petition Owner. "Rather a movie whose underlying theme is the holiday season. Not unlike "Die Hard, which many enthusiasts count as their favorite Christmas movie."
Growing by over 21,100 responses in the last 10 days alone, brings the tally to nearly 115,100 supporters who are raising their voices in unison in hopes of hearing Kevin say he will consider the option. The numbers breakdown to over 100,200 Facebooks hearts and likes, TikTok videos with more than 12,500 hearts agree with the idea, and nearly 3,400 signatures on the petition.
