Petition updateA Growing Donabate Deserves Proper Planning and Essential Services800 Signatures and Growing — Thank You Donabate

Nov 27, 2025

As we’ve reached 800 signatures, I want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank every one of you who has supported this petition.

This week has been deeply unsettling for many of us. It began with reports of a man lingering outside Donabate Educate Together, watching children through the fence and then assaulting a young student near the hockey pitches.

That same night, there were multiple alerts about attempted burglaries across the village. And today, we learned of a beheaded stag in Newbridge Park, a place many of us cherish.

I am not a politician,  just a mum with no agenda other than a growing concern for the safety of our children and the future of our town.

Some may feel a petition won’t make a difference , just a drop in the ocean,  but I truly believe that many voices are powerful and far stronger than one voice alone.

Together, we are sending a clear and united message to the Fingal Joint Policing Committee, the Garda Commissioner Justin Kelly, and the Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan, all of whom will receive this petition and its signatures.

We want them to understand that we, as residents, are not passive, we are not an afterthought, and we deserve safety and protection as taxpayers and members of this community.

We, the people of Donabate, deserve answers — what plans and strategies are in place to ensure the safety of our citizens?

Thank you again to everyone who has signed.

Please continue to share, your support means more than you know.
