#MeToo was admirably raised by some brave women in the US. It was to raise the plight of women suffering sexual harassment at the hands of controlling men.
In Kashmir it should have been used to raise the plight of many women abused, exploited and raped by the Indian forces and elements of the state. Instead, of late if is being used to entrap outspoken critics of the Indian occupation. This is rather a novel abuse of this hashtag by conceited vulgar repressed middle class women in Kashmir who aligned themselves to the Indian state. I've seen the silliness that is currently ongoing thereby distracting from the bloodshed of civilians.
I remain unimpressed with the antics of these women. It's actually highly insulting to weave and manufacture a case of sexual harassment just to discredit a critic of India. It demeans the suffering of many women who have suffered at the hands of the Indian state.
Please will Kashmiris focus on the task at hand. That is to obtain freedom and justice. Please do not be distracted by the web of deceit created by women who have nothing better to do with their lives apart from sell their souls to India.
